Spark plugs are a precision component in the engine, but are also typical wear parts. Therefore mechanics recommend to replace them regularly, even if they are not yet broken. Only by changing spark plugs can perfect engine performance be guaranteed.

Depending on the manufacturer and engine, they last between 30,000 and 60,000 kilometres until they need to be replaced. Decisive factors for spark plug replacement are not only age, but also mileage and load. If spark plugs are not replaced in time, misfiring, starting problems, reduced engine performance and increased fuel consumption can result. Spark plugs with electrodes that look burnt and charred should be replaced. In this case the ignition spark can no longer jump over properly and the engine will therefore not function optimally.

The spark plug DCPR9EIX, which we offer here is an Iridium spark plug and from the NGK brand. Iridium spark plugs last at least twice as long as a normal spark plug and also lead to better acceleration. NGK is the worldwide market leader in spark plugs. For example, over 90% of Japanese motorcycles are equipped with NGK products. In addition to the spark plug, you will also receive a matching spark plug wrench which is magnetic and thus makes it impossible for the spark plug to fall out.
