The introduction of the Euro 3 emissions standard on January 1, 2006, presented many manufacturers of light two-wheelers with a problem. The engines previously used could no longer comply with the new pollutant limits without extensive modifications. Thus, the development of a completely new drive unit became more promising.
To this end, the two established engine manufacturers Yamaha and Minarelli joined forces and developed a 1-cylinder 4-stroke engine with 4-valve technology for the 125cc class. The engine is considered to be so sophisticated that a large number of two-wheelers, especially in the enduro and motocross sector, have been equipped with it.
But even the best engine can have a defect. If your old cylinder is broken, we have a cylinder kit in OEM quality.
