The velocipede factory Carl Marschütz & Co. is nowadays probably better known as Nuremberg Hercules Werke. The Marschütz brothers founded the company in 1886 and until 1928 mainly produced bicycles. From this time on, the production of small motorcycles was worthwhile again due to the exemption from driving licence and tax. The Hercules factories used engines from Fichtel & Sachs since 1930.
