Founded in 1886 under the company name "Velozipedfabrik Marschütz & Co.", Hercules-Werke was an essential part of the Nuremberg motorcycle industry. Initially, the focus was on the production of bicycles. In 1928, production of motorized two-wheelers with an engine capacity of up to 200 cc began. This was done in close cooperation with the Schweinfurt company Fichtel & Sachs, which was known for the production of engines.
This decompression or starting lever is suitable for the Hercules Prima and M models. By operating this lever, the decompression valve is opened.
