Die Hercules Werke gehörten zur Nürnberger Motorradindustrie in den 1920er Jahren. Das von Carl Marschütz gegründete Unternehmen wuchs schnell und etablierte sich im Markt. Bei der Produktion der leichten Motorräder bis 200 ccm³ wurden seit Gründung des Unternehmens Fremdmotoren verbaut. Hierbei wurde hauptsächlich auf die in Schweinfurt gebauten Motoren von Fichtel & Sachs gesetzt.
Mit der Bremsstange wird die Tretkurbel mit dem Bremshebel an der Trommelbremse des Hinterrads verbunden. Dadurch kann die Bremskraft auf die Trommelbremse übertragen werden. Dieses Gestänge ist passend für die Modelle Hobby Rider, MF, Prima M 2 3 4 5 und Optima von Hercules.
