The alternator, or LiMa for short, is an electrical generator that supplies power to the electrical consumers. Alternators are used in vehicles with combustion engines. They consist of a rotor (rotating part) and a stator (permanently connected to the engine). The ignition coil, the light coil, the breaker contact and the capacitor are used to generate the current for the ignition spark and the vehicle's electrical systems.
