Der Kraftstofffilter ist ein Bauteil, welches den Kraftstoff vor dem Eindringen in den Motor von Feststoffpartikeln befreit. Benzin kann Verunreinigungen wie beispielsweise Lackstücke oder Rost enthalten und sollte dadurch immer gefiltert werden. Dieser Filter wird zwischen dem Tank und dem Vergaser eingebaut.
Um die verschleißfördernde Wirkung von Fremdkörpern im Benzin zu stoppen, sollten Sie, wenn das nicht schon geschehen ist, einen Benzinfilter einbauen bzw. Ihren alten austauschen.
