Hercules ist wohl eine der bekanntesten Fahrrad- und Motorradmarken in Deutschland. Das von Carl Marschütz im Jahre 1886 gegründete Unternehmen ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der Nürnberger Motorradindustrie. Durch die enge Zusammenarbeit mit Fichtel & Sachs, wurden die F & S Motoren ab 1928 in die leichten Motorräder bis 200 cm³ von Hercules eingebaut.
Dieser Kupplungsdruckstift hat eine Länge von 51,5 mm und ist in der Getriebevorlegewelle bzw. dem Kupplungskorb verbaut. Er wird durch die Betätigung des Kupplungshebels gegen die Druckplatte, wodurch diese in Richtung des Federtellers geschoben wird. Dadurch werden die Kupplungslamellen nicht mehr gegeneinander gedrückt und die Welle ist ausgekuppelt.
