In 1917 Fritz Ludwig Neumeyer founded the Zünder-Apparatebau-Gesellschaft m. b. H., which was one of the major German motorbike manufacturers. From 1921 to 1984, practical utility motorbikes were built in Nuremberg and later in Munich until 1958. The company is better known today as Zündapp-Werke GmbH.
This metal plate is used to secure the clutch pinion or clutch plates. This prevents the nut from coming loose.
