Die Velozipedfabrik Carl Marschütz & Co. bzw. die Hercules Werke war einer der großen deutschen Hersteller für Mopeds, Mokicks und Mofas bis 200 ccm³. In der Zeit von 1928 bis zu den 1990er Jahren produzierte Hercules motorisierte Zweiräder mit Fremdmotoren von Fichtel & Sachs.

Die Schaltstange ist mit dem Schaltkeil verbunden und in der Schaltwelle verbaut. Sie verschiebt den Keil zwischen den Getriebezahnrädern und sorgt damit für eine kraftschlüssige Verbindung. Die Stange ist passend für die Hercules bzw. Sachs Motoren 50/3 und 50/4.
