Der Name Zündapp-Werke GmbH stammt von der Gründungsgesellschaft "ZÜNDer-APParatebau-GmbH", welche Fritz Ludwig Neumeyer 1916 zusammen mit zwei Partnern gegründet hat. Bis ins Jahr 1921 fertigten sie hauptsächlich Rüstungsgüter für Artilleriezwecke. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt stand die Motorrad bzw. Motorenproduktion im Vordergrund und es konnten 1922 die ersten Maschinen verkauft werden. Mit den Jahren stieg die Produktion und Zündapp wurde zu einer der fünf bedeutendsten Motorradfabriken in Europa.
Hier finden Sie einen Ziehkeil für handgeschaltete Zündapp 3-Gang Modelle. Der Ziehkeil wird in die Schaltwelle gesteckt und ist für das Ein- und Auskuppeln der Zahnräder verantwortlich. In der Schaltwelle sind Löcher eingelassen und in den Zahnräder befinden sich Nuten. Das Einkupplen eines Zahnrads erfolg mit Hilfe von Kugeln. Der Ziehkeil drückt die Kugeln in die Nut des benötigten Zahnrads und sorgt damit für einen Kraftschluss zwischen Welle und Zahnrad.
