Bis in die 1990er Jahre stellten die Nürnberger Hercules Werke Mofas, Mopeds und Mokicks her. Hercules war eine der bekanntesten und etabliertesten Zweiradmarken der Nürnberger Motorradindustrie. Gegründet wurde das Unternehmen im Jahre 1886 von Carl Marschütz unter dem Firmennamen "Velozipedfabrik Carl Marschütz & Co.".
Die Pedalstartwelle ist passend für die Sachs Motoren 505/1 und 505/2. An den beiden Enden der Welle werden die Pedalarme montiert. Diese Welle ist bereits mit einem Starterrad, einem Startermitnehmer und einer Bremsfeder ausgestattet.
