Hercules ist ein deutscher Fahrzeughersteller, dessen Hauptgeschäft auf der Produktion von Mopeds, Mokicks und Mofas lag. Die Produktion begann im Jahr 1928 und ging bis in die 1990er Jahre. Seit Beginn der Fertigung von Hercules Zweirädern wurden Motoren von Fichtel & Sachs verwendet.
Die Scheibenfeder ist das Verbindungselement zwischen der Welle und der sich auf der Welle befindlichen Nabe. Dadurch kann das Drehmoment der Welle auf die Nabe oder das Zahnrad übertragen werden. Früher wurden die Scheibenfedern auch "Woodruff-Keil" genannt. Die Scheibenfeder besteht aus einem halbmondförmigen Metallteil, welches in die speziell gefräste Nut auf der kegelförmigen Welle hineingelegt wird. Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass die halbrunde Scheibe herausragt, dient sie als Mitnehmer für das anzutreibende Bauteil und überträgt das Drehmoment. Die hier angebotene Scheibenfeder, auch "Halbmond" genannt, hat eine Breite von 2 mm und eine Höhe von 3,7 mm. Der Halbmond wird auf der Lichtmaschinenseite der Kurbelwelle verbaut.
