Vielen Zweiradschraubern sind die Victoria Werke Nürnberg ein Begriff. Vorallem ist die Vicky Baureihe sehr bekannt. Das Unternehmen wurde bereits 1886 gegründet und produzierte ab 1899 Motorräder. Als 1958 die Verkaufszahlen drastisch zurück gingen, fusionierte man mit dem Express-Werk und der DKW-Zweiradfertigung zur Zweirad Union AG.

Der Kolbenring ist nicht kreisrund und auch nicht geschlossen. Erst im Einbauzustand wird der Ring in Kreisform gedrückt. Zu seinen Aufgaben zählen die richtige Dosierung des Schmieröls, die Ableitung der Verbrennungswärme und die Abdichtung des Arbeitsraumes.
