F & S was founded in Schweinfurt in 1895 by Ernst Sachs and Karl Fichtel. The core business at that time was the development and production of bicycle hubs and ball bearings. After the ball bearing division was sold to the Swedish manufacturer SKF in 1930, the company turned its attention to the production of small motors. Due to their quality and reliability, these motors were soon installed in many two-wheelers from a wide range of manufacturers.
The foot pedal is part of the gearstick system of your two-wheeler. The gears are engaged by pressing or pulling the lever. The ribbed rubber on the front part of the lever is to prevent you from slipping off when shifting gears.
