Der Benzinhahn regelt den Fluss des Benzins in den Vergaser oder in die Einspritzung.
Die einfache Bauweise des Benzinhahns macht ihn kaum fehleranfällig. Jedoch ist auch der Benzinhahn gegen Verschleiß nicht immun. Beispielsweise können sich die Dichtungen verhärten, austrocknen oder spröde werden. Die Dichtungen leiden und halten nicht mehr richtig dicht. Am Benzinhahn kann dann Kraftstoff austreten bzw Falschluft ins System gelangen.

TIPP: Achtet bei Tomos auf das Gewinde. Während bei den 25 km/h Mofas dieser M10-Einschraub-Benzinhahn verbaut wurde, ist bei den schnelleren Moped Versionen ein Kraftstoffhahn mit M12 Überwurfmutter verbaut worden.
