In the 1920s Nuremberg was the centre of the bicycle industry. Among them was the velocipede factory Hercules, better known as Hercules Werke. From 1886 to 1928 the company mainly produced bicycles. It was only in the following years that production was switched to mopeds, mopeds and mokicks up to 200 cc.
