Es kann zum Beispiel vorkommen, dass nach dem Einbau eines Racing Auspuffs oder eines anderen Zylinders die effektive Leistung des Fahrzeugs sinkt, obwohl die Leistung "auf dem Papier" gestiegen ist.
Dies liegt dann daran, dass die Variomatik falsch abgestimmt ist und zu früh "hochschaltet", sodass der Motor die optimale Leistungsdrehzahl nicht erreicht.
