Motorbike tyres are a safety-relevant feature of every two-wheeler. The tyres provide the contact between the vehicle and the road and on the one hand have a great influence on the driving dynamics and on the other hand are an essential element of driving safety. The inner tube has to withstand a lot. The material is constantly deformed, heated and rubs against the tyre's casing. Especially the load change during acceleration and braking demands a lot from the inner tube. Therefore, the inner tube should be checked and changed regularly. The rim tape protects the inner tube from mechanical damage caused by spoke heads, metal burrs and holes in the rim.
